Working in capacity of a Financial consultant outsourced by KPMG to SSnC Pakistan, a multinational having offices in 35 countries and involved in provding end-to-end expertise across financial services operations with software and solutions to service customers in the financial services and healthcare industries. Roles and Responsbilities

I was entrusted with task to oversee Accounting and Finance function, evaluating end to end controls over all financial processes and suggesting improvements thereto..

Managing the retirement funds and suggesting avenues of investment maximizing return on investment and welfare scheme for members.

Develop policies and procedures for better controls over cash management, creditors management and financial reporting.

Overseeing the process of budgeting, planning and cashflow management for effective liquidity management and cost controls.

Partner with technology team to implement Workday Financial software at SSnC and shifting from legacy system to new software.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Worked in capacity of Manager, reporting directly to Executive Director-SAI and managing audit portfolio of 12 Government agencies annually with team of 20 Emirati talents.

Part of core management team in setting up Professional Service Unit from scratch, developing & implementing risk based audit methodology.

Also creating awareness across federal Government entites about Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERM) through training and presentations to Board Members and Executive Comittees. Faciliating implementation of ERM across Government entities through advising on legislations and policies to Ministry of Finance.

Identifying, assessing and evaluating compliance, financial and operational risks of auditees. Evaluating those risk on risk scoring criterea of likelihood and financial impact to devise risk based audit plan.

Assessing auditees internal response to risk exposure (risk mangement plan) to control, treat and monitor high risks in order to acheive objectives of related functions and mandate of organisation as a whole.

Reviewing trend analytics / data analysis to establish key risk indicators to timely detect and act on the potential anomalies and process control weaknesses.

Preparing time budgets and ensuring audits are focused on areas assessed as high risk, thus ensuring maximum payback from the assignment utilizing available resources at optimum.

Developing operational and financial audit programs covering all key functions and operational processes. Providing appropriate onjob instructions and training to team member during the execution of the audit.

The SAI is an independent body and attached to the Federal National Council. Besides auditing the federal government entities SAI mandate also include fighting fraud and corruption. SAI is now chairman of INTOSAI (192 member countries) since 2016. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Finalising audits of the end-to-end process to independently and holistically assess the adequacy and efficiency of the controls over the business process and numbers presented are not materially mistated.

Reviewing policies and procedures to identify any gaps leading to treatment of similar trasanctions inconsistenly and ensuring its compliance with Federal laws and regulations of UAE.

Reviewing and finalizing audit reports for Executive management to ensure it adds value and is able to achieve buy-in and agreement on the part of the client. Suggesting areas of improvement for better Governance, Risk Managment and Controls.

Communicateaudit findings and recommendations to respective auditees, agree tentative timeline for implementation of controls and timely follow up to ensure that audit recommendations are adressed and implemenauited appropriately

Liaising with IT auditors to ensure technology risk in audit processes are adequately addressed.
