I was entrusted with task to oversee Accounting and Finance function, evaluating end to end controls over all financial processes and suggesting improvements thereto..
Managing the retirement funds and suggesting avenues of investment maximizing return on investment and welfare scheme for members.
Develop policies and procedures for better controls over cash management, creditors management and financial reporting.
Overseeing the process of budgeting, planning and cashflow management for effective liquidity management and cost controls.

Worked in capacity of Manager, reporting directly to Executive Director-SAI and managing audit portfolio of 12 Government agencies annually with team of 20 Emirati talents.
Part of core management team in setting up Professional Service Unit from scratch, developing & implementing risk based audit methodology.
Also creating awareness across federal Government entites about Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERM) through training and presentations to Board Members and Executive Comittees. The SAI is an independent body and attached to the Federal National Council. Besides auditing the federal government entities SAI mandate also include fighting fraud and corruption. Finalising audits of the end-to-end process to independently and holistically assess the adequacy and efficiency of the controls over the business process and numbers presented are not materially mistated.
