JOB DESCRIPTION. STEWARD SUPERVISOR
•Supervise the duties of all stewarding department employees, facilities, operations, and costs.
•Ensure Back of House areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards and cleaning schedules are followed and completed.
•Directing and assisting Stewards in order to make clean up more efficient.
•Ensuring water temperature and chemical levels are appropriate for cleaning and documented.
•Assisting with Banquet plate-ups and buffet by transporting and ensuring adequate stock.
•Assisting Chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
•Checking more specifically the proper use of chemicals and washing accessorie
•Oversee the Operation pot washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with the hygienic regulations and company standards. .
•oversee the Operation of dishwasher machine .
•Ensure the kitchen colleagues have the dishes or silverware required and quests have clean dishes.
•Sort, stack dishes and load and unload dishwasher.
•Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
•Ensure all breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and inventoried.
•Ensure all floors are dry and clean at all times.
•Ensure Carrying out of general cleaning to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying the rubbish bins and boxes placement in the correct containers is done effecienttly.
•Ensuring all the kitchen and the back of the house area is kept clean.
•Ensuring all the equipment with the kitchen area is clean according to the cleaning schedule.
•Ensuring the correct PPE is in the place and guidelines are adhered to.
•Observe health, hygiene and safety guidelines hazardous substances and comply with all aspects of health and safety requirements.
•Report any maintenance and or hazard issues to the engineering supervisor on duty.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
•Carry out any other reasonable task set by the hotel’s management.

STEWARD SUPERVISOR
•Ensure duties are carried out as assigned, cleaning schedules and perform the necessary duties.
•Collect the appropriate cleaning materials and equipment.
•Check the equipment daily to ensure they are in a good working condition and promptly report any defects .
•Superviset in the set up and break down of service areas for all special functions i.e. buffet.
•Supervise on Cleaning of stoves, ovens, grills, refrigerators to ensure its done effeciently.
•Ensure utensils such as pots, pans and trays are well cleaned and ready for uses.
•Supervise on Washing dishware, glasses, cutlery by hand or machine.
•Drains dries and stacks items after washing.
•Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage areas and dining utensils.
•Helping in recruiting and Training new stewards
