I assisted social workers with investigations of child abuse and child neglect. I was the contact person for home studies (placement of children in and out of state); implemented a tracking system used by all caseworkers to track court hearings, meetings, medicals, physicals, visits, etc.; assisted the Program Director with preparing written reports on child death reviews; documented during pre-removal and post-removal staffings (meetings with caseworkers, supervisors, and Program Directors to decide whether a child(ren) should be removed from their homes).
I supervised and documented visits between children and parents. This included transporting children to parent-child visits. I also testified in court concerning the parent-child visits. I transported children to and from doctor appointments, dentist appointments, counseling, etc. I stayed in constant contact with foster parents concerning foster children.
I was the contact person for the Spirit of Christmas projects and other fund raisers.
I also provided parenting classes in English and Spanish.
