CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Manage all aspects of construction projects for new construction, home remodels, and commercial renovations in the southern California area. Managed projects ranging from remodels to ground up construction. Directed and designed space-efficiency and physical security renovation for a 20,000 square foot distribution center resulting in a 100% increase in same-space storage capacity. The physical security build-out upgraded the space to meet the regulatory requirements for shipping, storage, and handling of pharmaceuticals under the Federal Controlled Substances Act, state regulations, and insurance coverage prerequisites. Renovations were completed on time and within budget without any business downtime during normal operating hours.

Prepared design requirements for a 3,000 square foot manufacturing expansion for product packaging including build-out of firewalls; and electrical, ventilation and HVAC upgrades.

Oversaw a 70,000 square foot renovation project with phased construction to include a retail store, manufacturing, distribution center, offices and event space. Managed construction activities following project approvals and coordinated work with the client to include phasing, staging and site logistics.

Developed and maintained contractor relationships in order to support bid solicitation, review and award of contracts.

Worked with architects, draftsman, and local Planning & Zoning departments to ensure project permit approval.

LEAD BUILDING ENGINEER – Amazon, Inc. distribution center

Manage all aspects of facility maintenance for a 1 million square foot distribution center including preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings and industrial systems.
