Tel: 078**-******

An exceptionally reliable individual who has recently finished my third year in American Studies/ History from the University of Portsmouth and achieved a grade of a 2:1. From my degree I have learnt essential skills in working individually and in a team, and I have improved my formal writing also. I possess strong teamwork and communication skills and the ability to think on my feet, which I have learnt from my previous employment as a lifeguard. My hobbies include skiing, I have been to the French alps for several family holidays and enjoyed every single one. I also enjoy swimming where I represented Hitchin swimming Club at County and Regional level for several years, football where I played for a local Sunday League Team for ten years which show commitment. An experienced shift worker who is used to completing jobs to a high-level, a loyal worker with experience of customer service/engagement and working and communicating in a team to deliver high levels outcomes, whatever the role. I believe these skills will enable me to be a great asset of a ski chalet team working a ski season for your company.

Work History

Lifeguard Stevenage Leisure Limited April 2017 – Present

Working on a regular basis during the summer months at Hitchin Swimming Pool. I hold responsibility for the safety of all the public in the swimming pool, as well as being trusted with first aid and cleaning responsibilities. This job had helped me to gain key teamworking, customer service, communication, and fast thinking skills. I deal with the public on a day to day basis, am used to working in shift patterns and I complete training every month as part of the role. Dealing with customers is a major part of the role of a lifeguard and ensuring they have a good experience is also vital, I believe this will help me to become a great resort customer host for your company.

Administration Assistant Butterfields Sept 2016 – August 2018

Working on a casual basis as an Administration Assistant within the company. Duties including answering the telephone, photocopying, faxing and liaising with the general public at reception and the sales office. I also completed my work experience within this company over a two-week period during February 2015.

Volunteering Experience

Oxfam Latitude Festival July 2019

Working with Oxfam at a festival meant that I had to complete three, eight-hour shifts throughout the weekend, one morning shift, one afternoon and one night time shift. These jobs ranged from being on the disabled platform at the stages and helping them enjoy the show and working on gates with security, checking wristbands and letting people in and out of the correct gates. We were trusted with a walkie-talkie to communicate any issues experienced on shift – which allowed me to develop my communication skills further.
