Communication
Communication is key for dietitians, whether it is connecting with other healthcare professionals, patients/clients, or kitchen staff. Being able to speak with or send appropriate correspondence, as well as following requisite documentation practices, are fundamental skills necessary for success.
Leadership
Through the years, there have been various opportunities for leadership; activities range from President of the St. Olaf Student Congregation to President of a local chapter of a national Moms’ Club, to managing K-12 classrooms to managing college students. Each endeavor has facilitated additional growth.
