Over the time in my career as an accountant I have been able to help companies grow and earn progressively larger bottom lines with my accounting skills – I plan on continuing to provide that type of service.

Retail Accounting Specialist

At Crystal Farms, Michael Foods I use SAP to specialize in accounting entries for their retail food promotions, ad’s, slotting, billbacks, scans and spoils – along with commission payments to food brokers, and gathered information for accounting projects and accrual purposes. There is a great deal of communication with brokers, sales representatives and upper management to perform this job well. I help to train in other retail accounting specialists and help to foster a flowing culture where positive results could be accomplished.

Previous work experience.

I worked at United Properties in Bloomington Minnesota for five years helping to convert their accounting system to Timberline and also entering general ledger entries and preparing financial statements for a small number of property holdings. I also helped out with cash application and interacted with upper management and other accounting associates.

Prior to that I worked in California in Chatworth and Burbank with a healthcare company named HealthWest who changed their name to Unihealth as they bought Pacific Care and Care America in Burbank. I worked for them for six years total as an Healthcare Accountant and then moved up to the job as a financial analyst with some supervisory duties of other accountants. These jobs included the preparation of general ledger entries and way through the preparation of financial statements, along with assisting the budgeting department with information and various accounting projects that needed to be done. I also reviewed the financial statement preparation of two other accountants. These jobs required a great deal of communication with upper management and with Hospital CFO’s to accomplished the desired results.

Education: University of Minnesota graduating with a BSB in Accounting.
