(petcoke) as an alternative fuel in Pyro-processing" in Cement industry at India Cements Limited, Ariyalur.

Petcoke is pulverized and used as an alternate fuel for Kiln firing. Parameters considered are calorific value, ash content, sulfur content, emission rate, particle size, temperature. Various effects of particle size and temperature were studied. Sulfur emissions were controlled and a by-product gypsum is produced as a result the production cost of cement is reduced.
