My role: team coordinator and member.

1. Major project title: Disinfection of effluent water using biologically synthesized silver nanoparticles arranged in a packed bed column.

Disinfection of water using silver nanoparticles synthesized from Tulsi leaves and silver nitrate solution.

Nanoparticles are absorbed in sodium alginate beads and are used as packing material in a packed bed column.

By varying different engineering parameters the variation of E.colli count is noted from the experimental set-up.

2. Mini project title: Electrocoagulation for the removal of fluorides from groundwater.

Combined electrocoagulation and floatation for the removal of fluoride from drinking water.

Its efficacy is investigated under different conditions and the experimental results showed that the combined process would remove fluoride effectively. Journal Publication
