DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Review and analyze construction drawings and specifications for shop drawing preparation and selection of equipments.
2. Review and comment HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting shop drawings, coordination drawings, builders work drawing and RCP drawing and the submission of shop drawing to the consultant for approval by coordinating with engineering and drafting department. 3. Prepared, reviewed and commented on technical submittals and calculations (material submittals, RFI, external static pressure (ESP) calculation, pump head calculation, stress analysis, closeout documents, testing and commissioning reports etc). 4. Participated in design and coordination meetings with the consultant/client and provided various alternate solutions. Coordination with consultants, contractors, suppliers and site construction teams on design, technical and site issues.
5. Monitoring the site installation of services to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specifications and make sure that all building services meet health and safety requirements and environmental legislation. More focus on HVAC works. 6. Preparation of RFI to clarify discrepancies or issues related with MEP design or constructions process and its follow up with consultants or clients for approval. 7. Assist in reviewing the process of variations and claims. Preparation of project closes out documents such as O&M manuals, testing and commissioning method statements for client or consultant approval.
8. Witnessing start-up, testing, commissioning, handover, operation/maintenance of systems. 9. Material takes off and preparation of detailed bill of quantities for HVAC, plumbing and fire fighting works.
10. Calculation of ventilation and cooling load requirements for building using Carrier HAP and selection of suitable system such as DX System, chilled water system, VAV and VRF system for this specific application in accordance with international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA,DW-144, ARI and NFPA.
11. Air conditioning and ventilation duct sizing and preparation of ducting layout drawing. Chilled water pipe sizing and the preparation of chilled water piping layout drawing. 16. Fire fighting service design as per NFPA standards. Sprinkler system design as per hazard classification, hose reel & stand pipe systems design, FHCs, sprinkler pipe sizing as per NFPA, fire water storage tank sizing, fire pump sizing and preparation of sprinkler piping layout drawing.
