Project Name: Ticket Settlement and Reporting & Enterprise Corporate Systems (ECS)

Ticket Settlement and Reporting Provides settlement services and financial transaction between travel agents and airlines.

Enterprise Corporate Systems (ECS) are the heart of Travelport’ s daily business processes. They provide the sales funnel, provisioning, contracting, customer relationship management, billing, financial process, data governance, internal process, and customer intelligence capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Worked as a top-level technical expert with clients, analysts, programmers, and other team members to develop technical solutions to complex business problems.

Developed 500 JCLs and Parm’s to migrate transmission method of RET/ SPRF handoff jobs from iiNET to ACCA/Accelya for 150 Airlines in the travel industry which saved more than $250K Annually for Travelport.

Created an "Automation tool" to reformat RET data needed for Ticketing Settlement & Reporting (TSR) validation process which reduced the validation efforts from 7200 hours to 600 hours per year using this automation tool.

Implemented 3D secure Payments for all cores in travelport which provided secure way of credit card processing and prevented the fraudulent transactions. I was involved in the development of several complex COBOL programs and new COPYBOOK layouts.

Implemented the Industry Mandate project Dish 23.0 upgrade for 160 BSP RET file which involved 600 hours of effort with 150 JCL and 70 control file changes and rolled out in several phases.

Worked in Travelport+ project to replace three legacy systems, Galileo, Apollo and Worldspan as a single environment called GLOBAL GALIEO which involved development of new COBOL programs and performance tuning for mainframe programs due to large volume of data in flow. Worked closely with DBA for DB2 table restructure. Reconstructed the 80 Mainframe programs & jobs to handle the empty file processing which comes from Apollo and Worldspan core. This project reduced Customer Complexity and $$ of cost savings to Travelport.

Participated in the NextGen IDEATHON 2020 and implemented the idea of MQ processing for all the transaction types used in Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD’s) in Travel Industry.

Migrated the Billing information Data Tapes (BIDT) files transmission method for 50 carriers from CD ROM to sFTP via MFT in couple of months successfully. Much appreciated by Vendors for Quick turnaround.

Automated 25 Business As usual (BAU) activities in Galileo, Apollo & Worldspan core like RCB and Ancillary revenue data, Hotel Revenue data, Axess JALPAK data in the ECS Billing area which saved travelport an effort of 3000 hours Annually.

Project Name: FDC (Food Distribution Center) & UDC (Upstream Distribution Center)

Food Distribution Center (FDC) is a Distribution Center specifically dedicated to transporting and storing fresh and frozen foods and deliver inventory to all types of stores across the United States based on the store request to DC.

Upstream Distribution center (UDC) is an inventory positioning study led by Merchandising and distribution. The objective is to purchase smaller quantities of slow-selling and volatile merchandise and hold it further upstream in the supply chain, allocating it specific areas of the country as demand materializes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Involved in all phases of software development life cycle like design, development, documentation, Testing, Implementation and Maintenance of Application Software.

Implemented three new Food Distribution Center (FDC) Denton, Rialto & West Jefferson for target. It involved development of several new mainframe jobs for 3 FDC’s and setting up the same in CA7 and in Control-M environment. Deployed the changes in Non-Production Environment (NPE Region) and successfully implemented in Production.

Upstream Distribution center (UDC) Worked on 3 brand new UDC build and implemented the changes into PROD. Worked with multiple teams for smooth PROD cutover, reviewed the changes after cutover and provided PROD support during go-live testing.

Replaced the Target's current version of Prospace (Planogram Tool) with JDA's most up-to-date planogram software as Prospace is not compatible with Windows 7 and it is not supported by the vendor.
