Presser-Laundry (part-time): Botshilu Private Hospital 2019-2021
I am working part-time as a presser; I press-iron the laundry from Botshilu Private hospital. I am called in to wash, dry, press-iron and fold the hospital material which consists of gowns and sheets, the amount of laundry received initially takes 2-3 days to complete. This has to be done while adhering to the covid-19 strict regulations by wearing a mask, regularly sanitizing and isolating covid infected material and handling with care by wearing personal protective equipment.
Communications Representative/ Public Relations:
94innovations (PTY) LTD
2020
I was responsible for representing the project ideas of the company to competitions we entered, research and reach out to potential investors, donators and likely interested parties. This required me to be creative and engage with highly technological personnel and simplifying and represent their work and to provide insight to how we could market the project image in a more attractive way to students, as it was a project aimed for student consumerism, and appeal to investors at the same time.

The University of Pretoria offered an opportunity to International Relations students to participate in Model United Nations debate where we had to do extensive research and fact-checking of which exposed us to embassies and diplomatic figures, the experience of being in such a learning environment and to do the practicality of the theoretical work we have been exposed to challenged me and was exciting overall.
