Maintains a record of job specification and/or acceptance criteria of the items they cover for inspection.

Check and ensure that the measuring test instruments being used during test and inspection operations are properly calibrated with valid certificates and stickers.

Maintains approved QC Checklist forms to be used during inspection.

Issue Non-Conformance Report (NCR) to items not found acceptable and submit to QA/QC Supervisor for appropriate disposition.

Prepares Punch List during the final stage of mechanical completion and submit to concern Production Units for corrective actions.

Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.

Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.

Controls equipment installation, alignment and leveling

Performs functional checks and mechanical completion checks (Pressure and atmospheric vessel)

Preparation of PQR, WPS and qualifying it as per ASME SEC XI, API 1104 & AWS D 1.1.

Trays inspection (dimensional check, water tightness test).

Checks of levelness, position, orientation, anchor bolts, conduits, etc. of tanks foundation

Performs hydrostatic test of tank and measurement of pad settlement.

Storages tank internal inspection. 9. Performs punch-listing operations.

Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.

Witness the tests, controls and inspections, guarantee inspection status control for parts of the plant within his area of responsibility, authorizing their acceptance at quality control completion, obtain the relevant documentation and ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan according to Client’s requirements.

Issue materials receiving report for the delivered materials.

Witness mechanical test on materials like Bend test, Hardness test, Tensile test, Charpy impact test etc.

Review of inspection and Test plan (QAP) per QC-Procedure, Client Specification and Approved Drawing.

Review of the project scope of work, material specifications, and drawings for any conflict with the requirement of the Quality standards and advise the Engineering Dept. to initiate the corrective actions with the client prior to commencement of work.

Preparation of welding inspection summary.

Prepare Hydro test Packages for different Piping process lines before commissioning activity.

Review test packages & take approval from client.

Pipeline check before Hydro test & make A, B, C punch items & take clearance before test.

Inspection of joints fit up, alignment and dimensional accuracy as per drawing requirements

Witness of Hydro testing, PWHT & Pre heat, post heat requirements etc.

ROTATING & STATIC EQUIPMENT INSPECTION :

Inspection of columns and its internal like trays, tray support ring. The necessary inspection NDT requirements to be carried out during column internal repairing time.

Check and inspect rotating equipment and/or components to ensure they meet project requirements

Provide rotating equipment shutdown QA/QC (quality assurance/quality control) service and technical support

Ensure accurate standards, procedures and specifications are in place for the maintenance of the rotating equipment assets

Check mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for proper alignment and functioning

Test electrical assemblies and wiring for proper connections on equipment

Coordinate with engineering to resolve technical queries, design issues and non-conformances relating to rotating equipment.

Review, approve and update contractor inspection and test plans and check sheets.

Verify contractor and staff inspectors have a required credentials, training and experience for their roles.

Provide regular input to adheres to Project Execution Procedures.

Monitor implementation of company, project and sub-contract HSE policies and procedures.

Coordinate with engineering to resolve contractor technical queries, design issues and non-conformances relating to rotating equipment.

Review, approve and update contractor inspection and test plans and check sheets.

Plan and forecast for upcoming construction installation activities and co-ordinate with contractor inspection resources.

Review notification for client witness inspection requests and necessary attachments and follow up on inspection process.

Follow up on Quality Assurance and control of all rotating equipment installations performed /completed, on-going and near future activities on site.

Verify the incorporation of any field clarification, deletion and additions in the preparation of as-built documentation for all rotating equipment.

Inspect all materials, including fully assembled units of rotating equipment upon receipt on site.

Conduct visual inspections of installation activities of rotating equipment to confirm compliance with specifications and design.

Check lay-out installation of all rotating equipment for correct position, orientation and elevation is as per approved drawings and specifications.

Check and oversee contactors inspections of layouts and installations process of rotating equipment, levelling of pump bases to API 686 criteria, check and correction of soft foot to API 686 criteria, coupling alignment to API 686 criteria using reverse dial indicator method, interpret coupling alignment dial indicator readings, witness and approve final coupling alignment including piping

Alignment connected to rotating equipment as per API 686 criteria.

Prepare non-conformance and surveillance reports applicable to all rotating equipment installation work.

Monitor and give technical assistance to contractor inspection crew to minimize quality discrepancies in the installation of rotating equipment.

Coordinate with piping, structural, electrical and instrumentation inspection team members to complete all inspections relating to rotating equipment.

Participate in walk down of process systems and document any deficiencies for punch list.

Review and endorse contractor inspections, test and material quality documents.

Conduct regular assessments of the preparation, collation and control of quality records by contractor.

Record and collect all relevant data in completions and other significant activities for compilation.

Ensure API & ENI Regulatory Documentation is progressively prepared and endorsed by Contractor and Technical Supervision

Perform minor adjustments and repairs

Maintain accurate rotating equipment records, including protocols and equipment history

MATERIAL INSPECTION :

Inward material Inspection Bill of material as per purchase order and drawing.

Material certificate review and endorse as per BDP and project material specification

a) Chemical,Mechanical Test properties MTC,Tensile properties, Impact, Hardness and PMI, pickling and passivation, cold and Hot rolling and normalization and annealing

b) NDT requirements for welded pipes, fittings and casting, RT,PT,MPT and UT

Dimensional, visual and quantity verification of each items

Material traceability

Check static / Rotating and HVAC equipment’s arrive at site shall have each equipment tag number and name plate.

Visual inspection and making reports for any damage cause during transportation. Dimensional inspection as per design order.

Report any non-complying items to the Site Representative and Quality Manager that need to be isolated in order to prevent inappropriate use

Provide weekly input to the QA/QC reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems

Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed

Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems

Work closely with Stores personnel and advise them of requirements.

Communicate effectively with company project staff, Contractors and any Third Party.

Perform any duties that may be required to enhance the works.

HEAT EXCHANGERS & PRESSURE VESSELS :

Inspection of columns and its internal like trays, tray support ring. The necessary inspection NDT requirements to be carried out during column internal repairing time.

Site fabrication, erection and testing of heat exchangers. Handled Shell-Tube, Plate type heat Exchangers.

Preparation of mock up test and witnessing for tube-to-tube sheet joint and hydro testing of the heat exchanger from tube as well as shell side.

Inspection of Drums and Reactor and to give detail inspection report .The necessary inspection NDT requirements to be carried out during Drum and Reactor repairing time. (NDT Like UT, RT, MPT,DT).

Hydro testing, flushing and or Nitrogen Purging and Helium Leak Detection.

PIPING :

After reviewing the P & ID release of process piping for prefabrication. Fit up check, routing check, check for inspection requirement like RT, SR & Hydro test as per the predawn loop diagram. After completion of testing, flushing of pipe lines to ensure inside cleanliness.

Hydro testing, flushing and or Nitrogen Purging and Helium Leak Detection

TANKS :

Inspection of storage tanks and to give detailed inspection report for repair procedure.

API 653 standard should be followed during repairing tank shell and roof repairing time.

OTHER TECHINICAL SKILLS :

Knowledge about static and rotary equipment as well as equipment inspection.
