Academic Project in Engineering:

Project: M.E Project entitled “Application of Finite Element Analysis in Angioplasty ”

Description: During angioplasty while inflating the balloon, proper pressure has to be applied to ensure plastic deformation of stent. If proper pressure is not applied during stenting procedure it may cause problem of over deployment and under deployment. In stent deployment procedure if stent undergoes over deployment, it causes soft tissue injuries in arterial wall. This project dealt with analysis of this excessive stress induced in the artery which was one of the major reasons for the restenosis. Also the growth rate of tissue in the direction of stress gradient vector in which direction tissue regenerates was determined by using analysis tool ANSYS.

Project: B. Tech. Project Entitled “Design of Aerial Ropeways”. Description: Aerial ropeway of Shivaji Maharaj’s Raigad fort was studied. Construction & working of various parts of ropeway was analysed. Design of different components of aerial ropeway was carried out by using design softwares like AutoCAD & CATIA. The safety precautions used in ropeway were taken into consideration.Design calculations of all the parts of aerial ropeway was done mathematically.
