Advanced injection molding technology and principles including iMFLUX, RJG eDart, scientific molding, decoupled II molding and processing of engineering grade materials (Nylon, ABS, POM, PMMA and Polycarbonate).
Knowledge of extrusion, thermoforming, rotational molding, blow molding processes/design.
Catia, Creo, AutoCAD, Mold Flow Analysis, as well as Microsoft Office including MS Project and MS Excel
Plastics testing processes such as tensile testing, impact tests, HDTUL, melt flow index, specific gravity and moisture analysis.
Decorating and assembly knowledge (pad printing, hot stamp, adhesives, ultrasonic welding, preparation of clichés).
Determining plastic/rubber material applications.
Fluid power/hydraulics, metrology, electrical fundamentals, robotics, statics/strength of materials, engineering economics including cost estimates, design for manufacturing.
Statistical process control and DOE.
Lean manufacturing principles such as Kanban, Poke Yoke, Kaizen, 5S, elimination of waste, root cause analysis.
Working knowledge of GD&T.
