SE Forge has two units: Forging unit in Waghodia SEZ, Vadodara, Gujarat & Foundry unit in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. SEForge, Vadodara is setting up one modern state of the art manufacturing facility with all fully automatic machines and Robotics handling with all CNC VTL machines for Forging & Machining very large diameter Flanges, Gear Rims, Slew Bearing Rings used for Wind Mill Application with Annual capacity of 70,000 MT. Axial Profiling technology is being used first time in the world for Ring rolling. My duties as a Design-Engg. - Design and Development are:

To prepare drawings of rolled flanges & Rims with Axial Profiling from the final finished drawings.

To decide the ingot size & weight considering all Scale formation and other weight losses like Slug, Chip loss etc. with the use of ROLLTECH software. While calculating it we have to consider the expansion of the different metals at different temperatures, various forgingparameters like Forging Ratio, Rolling speeds, Rolling curves, Reheating requirement if any etc.

To design tools for the Forging line which consists Sawing machine, Upsetting Press, Ring Rolling Machine & Expander etc using Pro-Engineer Wildfire 4.0

To design the fixtures for the machine shop which consists of various CNC Vertical Turret Lathes, Drilling machines etc. for Quick centering & Clamping for Heavy duty purpose.

Duration: Since 15th of March, 2007 to 8th October, 2008. FAG is an ISO 9001/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certified company which belongs to the famous Schaeffler Group of Germany. Schaeffler group is mainly consisting of three companies which are INA, FAG and LuK. FAG has been one of the leading manufacturers of precision rolling bearings for the automotive, mechanical engineering and aerospace industries. The main products of this company are deep groove ball bearing, four point contact ball bearing, self aligning ball bearing, cylindrical roller bearing, spherical roller bearing and tapered roller bearing. Also, FAG has one Special Machine Building (SMB) Division under the head of its Subsidiary company ‘FAG Roller Bearings Private Limited’. SMB division is associated in design and development of automatic and semiautomatic machines for Rolling Bearing Manufacturing for the Group companies. 1. Washing machine for washing the component of bearing designed and developed in SMB India. The washing machine is use for washing the bearing component. From primary design select the belt and select the motor as per required speed and the torque. Modeling done in the pro-e and project completed in one month

2. Made change in old design of honing machine and solved the failed of the cam shaft with reducing the cost of machine.

3. Replaced the gearbox with chain sprocket assembly and reduced the total cost of the machine. 4. Fixture designed for holding the 5M ring to reduce the setting on machine and reduce the total machining time designed.

5. Chamfering machine for the chamfering on hole edge. 6. Transportation trolley to transfer 30T load.

7. Tilting devise for tilting the hot billet at hot condition of weight 4.5T. 8. Quick-nut designed to reduce the assembly time. 9. Centering devise for the ring of 5M.
