DUTIES INCLUDED:

Maintenance, repairing and servicing of all plant machinery and equipment in the rolling mills department. For example pumps, (centrifugal and gear), valves, couplings, roller conveyors, gearboxes, overhead cranes (2.5t and 5t), hot shearing machines, gillotins(cutting machine), straightening machines, pulverisers(coal crushers), I.D and F.D fans and storage tanks (for a tar and gearbox oil). Fitting of all plant machinery and equipment in the rolling mills department i.e bearings (spherical roller, flange bearings, pillow blocks e.t.c.), sprockets, chains, couplings, plummer blocks, gaskets,

v-belts, pulleys, rollers. Fabrication of steel structures, machinery and components. Attending to breakdowns during shift work. Management of health, safety and environmental issues at work. General housekeeping.

Carryout mechanical repairs and maintenance of all plant equipment like ball mills, gyratory crushers, rotary kiln, bucket elevator,overhead cranes, centrifugal fans etc.
