Setup/Operation of Amada Press Brake (European style): RG series, HFB series, NT series

Setup, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and specialized variation tools to perform

Precision machining operations

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers

Study sample parts, blueprints, and drawings to determine methods and sequences of operations Needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances

Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation to machinery work Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts

Test and adjust machine speed and actions, according to product specifications, and using gauges and hand tools

Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades or other fixtures in rams or beds of Machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools

Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specification, using micrometers, gauges,

calipers, templates, or rulers

Examine completed work pieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces, and sort

defective pieces according to types of flaws

Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustment or repairs

Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
