Gaps in my resume:

For a few years, in the “off season” of my job, I would backpack around different countries for months at a time. I have visited over 30 countries and I believe travel is the ultimate education one can seek. Traveling is one of the bravest, hardest and most eye-opening things a young person can do. Through traveling you gain new knowledge of the world and its cultures, and you gain valuable life experience. I’ve learned new languages, religions and crafts. I’ve volunteered. I’ve learned how to properly communicate, how to budget, adapt and how to handle pressure and stress and so much more. Traveling has made me more open-minded and has helped shape me into a better person.
