NIGERIA OIL REFINERY

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

REFINERY INSTRUCTOR

Ability to provide effective classroom teaching in process technology such as safety, systems, operations, and maintenance.

Experience in distillation, absorption, extraction, thermal and catalytic cracking, and reforming, visbreaking, and alkylation.

Desired experience in the latest learning technologies, including, AI, VR, and augmented reality.

Clear and effective communication in both written and oral formats.

Experience in developing learning programs and solutions for a Global Company for an international audience.

Experienced in operations and training of refinery personnel.

Experience in developing best practices, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement efforts.

Familiar with laboratory requirements.

Proficiency with Office Applications (e.g., Google Suite, Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Keynote), Learning Authoring Software (e.g., Articulate Rise/Storyline, Captivate) and Creative Publishing Software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop/Illustrator/Premiere/After Effects)

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of refinery Production or Operations management.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (Electrical Mechanical I&C)

Maintenance experience in refinery and/or petrochemical facility required.

Experienced in supervising maintenance activities in a refinery environment to ensure production schedule is safely executed without incident in environmentally compliant manner.

Familiar with performing distillation, absorption, extraction, adsorption, thermal and catalytic cracking and reforming, isomerization, coking, visbreaking, and alkylation.

Supervises craft work groups.

Knows and complies with process safety management (PSM) requirements.

Manage department budget expenses and usage.

Assists in setting schedules.

Monitors and appraises progress to ensure productivity, work quality, and schedule adherence.

Ensures team understands work scope and performance expectations.

Promotes proactive reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) focus.

Assists with troubleshooting.

Ensures work orders are satisfactorily completed and properly closed out.

Communicates daily activities related to manpower, accomplishments, and problem areas to management.

Ensured assigned craft personnel are adequately trained for their job assignment.

Identifies training needs and participates in development of training programs for craft skill pool.

Maintains visible and active field presence to promote safe working environment and ensure adherence to safe work practices.

Participates in audits and near-miss/incident investigations.

Follows-up on safety issues until closure.

Experienced in establishing Maintenance leadership teams.

Works collaboratively with other supervisors, planning and scheduling, and reliability teams to develop repair strategies and maintain reliability of refinery plant mechanical equipment in support of continuous operations.

Maintains current, accurate, and complete records for assigned areas.

Assist supervisors in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and optimization activities outside the assigned area.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of Maintenance, Production, or Operations management (including supervision, crew leadership or coordination).

REFINERY OPERATIONS SHIFT SUPERVISOR

Experience in managing daily process operations of a refinery.

Supervises operations in refinery centralized control room to ensure production schedule is safely executed without incident in environmentally compliant manner.

Monitor plant’s operating conditions to ensure quick resolution of abnormal situations.

Capable of relieving the Process Operators and/or Inspectors to ensure that all process lines and inspection functions are covered in the case of absences to maximize up-time.

Familiar with performing distillation, absorption, extraction, thermal and catalytic cracking and reforming, isomerization, coking, vis breaking, and alkylation (naphtha, fuel, kerosene, gasoline, and oils).

Knows and complies with process safety management (PSM) requirements.

Comply with best practices and standard operating procedures.

Prepares process line start-up and shutdown functions (e.g., setting-up equipment, testing, loading, cleaning).

Troubleshoots equipment problems and performs minor equipment repair and part changing.

Responsible for EHS.

Lead daily meetings.

Planning and Scheduling experience.

Perform Distributed Control System Operations.

Operate refinery equipment.

Operate processing equipment and log equipment checks to follow standard operating procedures and optimizing plant efficiencies.

Test liquids and gases for chemical characteristics and color.

Performs daily related PM checks to inspection and line side tools. Performs daily quality checks.
