Dear Sir:

After working two weeks I was fired today because of a background report from GIS. Included in the report was a misdemeanor for an open container. The police officer responsible was mad at me rather than a concerned bystander and I have taken the matter up with the chief of police.

Too, I was suffering terribly from PTSD and depression, when I acquired two back-to-back public intoxications resulting from my experience in Desert Shield. I was responsible for the casualty Operation for the 18th Airborne Corp (my unitof assignment), Fort Bragg. and the State of North Carolina.

Sometimes we soldiers suffer from our duty. Shame on Krogers for not investigating or at least asking me for an answer. My previous problems which, thank God, I have outlived.

Also included was a report of a difficulty I experiencecd with my second wife (who is an employee of Kroger) over child support, I spent thirty days in jail over the event . My previous problems with PTSD and a terrible depression are now over. Child support and other financial matters are being witheld from my Army retirement and my social security funds.

I spent 42 years practicing law and twenty years as a reserve soldier in the US Army. I am a multiplated decorated veterin. The last active duty of which I had a top secret clearence. I did two wars for my country surely that is enough. I buy at least $1000.00 for groceries each month from Krogers. I believe I deserved much better treatment from Kroger, perhaps I am wrong,

There is nothing in my history which suggest I should have been fired today as I was 15 minutes on my shift.

I doubt you will respond to meor my situation will be changed, probably out of shame for Krogers at least. I trust they have not served other soldiers this badly.
