A)Responsibilities Handled:( From March 1975 to Oct 1997 Posted in BHEL Unit Power Sector -Services) :

Supervised a team of engineers and reporting to the Regional Service Manager and GM.

Estimate the price to be quoted to customer considering scope of work,sub-contracting provision,BHEL manpower to be deployed, materials to be consumed if any,hire charges of test equipment etc.

Finalizing ordering of Sub-contractor including its billing schedule for its release of payment as per milestone of completion of job.

As site engineer/manager, to receive contingency funds for site expenses, to make site purchases & submit bills to BHEL as per company rules.

To verify the sub-contractor bills, after achieving the job milestone. & submit it to Finance for release of payment.

To prepare billing schedule in agreement with customer. Raise billing advice to BHEL Finance for preparing invoice . To submit the invoice along with relevant documents as per contract to customer. Keep record of invoices raised on the customers & payment received if any. Follow up customers for release of pending payments. . Periodic Reconciliation with BHEL Finance & customers.

To plan & schedule the job. Prepare PERT for the job & allocate manpower. Plan for materials, spares required if any for the job.

Successfully planned, executed and implemented several projects involving servicing, overhauling and maintenance of electrical rotating machines like LT & HT ac & dc motors, Turbo Generators, Hydro generators & Nuclear generators up to 11 KV,235 MW. Also supervised. Overhauling of turbines & boilers as Site In charge at thermal power plants..

Repair/ Rewinding of BHEL/Non BHEL make Exciters, HT motors ( 200 KW to 4000 KW), Turbo generators( Up to 235 MW) & Hydro Generators ( Up to 165 MW), Captive Power Plant Generator Up to 15 MW.

Attending to trouble shooting problems of Electrical motors & generators at site.

Commissioning of Motor/Generator/ TG/HG after repairs/overhauling & attending to problems if any.

Inter-departmental coordination along with coordinating with the clients and consultants for approvals of drawings and quality plans.

Coordinated with the vendors and the BHEL sites so as to ensure regular supply of materials.

Handled day to day functioning of projects at site.

Understanding BHEL contract with customer regarding Contract price allocation, payment terms, Scope of supply of Non BHEL make materials, drawings & its scheduled delivery date to site.

Preparation of Billing Schedule for the allocated amount & getting customer approval.

Procurement of Non BHEL make materials for supply to Project site as per schedule.

Verification of Vendor bills & submission to Finance for release of payment.

Raising billing advice to Finance to prepare invoice. Submission of invoice along with relevant documents to customer for realizing payments.

Maintaining record of invoices raised & payment received for various invoices . Follow up with customers for pending payments. Reconciliation of record periodically with customer. To resolve customer issues if any for processing of the invoice.

To follow up BHEL Site/Customer for receipt of materials at site. Collection of Material receipt certificate from site & raise invoices for the MRC payments.

Project Coordination for finalizing Project erection drawings.

Attending to management meetings to update status of project regarding supply of materials /drawings/payment pending /received status.
