(Civil Engineering with Honours) at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2016 I have over 4 years working experience. I am currently employed as a Consultant Engineer at Aurecon (Zutari Africa) where I am responsible for providing the Asset management team with technical expertise regarding Stormwater, Water and Sanitation infrastructure. I have previously worked as a Roads Engineer at Eskom at the Hendrina Power Station in Mpumalanga where I was involved in maintenance, design and project management related to roads and other infrastructure within the power station. I also have experience conducting geotechnical site and lab testing with data interpretation as well as report compilation providing results and recommendations. Aurecon has been engaged to assist the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality (CTMM) in auditing infrastructure assets to recompile and update existing infrastructure asset registers (IARs). The objective of the project is to develop a comprehensive Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts (mSCOA) and a generally recognised accounting practice (GRAP) compliant asset register. The work involves assisting in updating the assets under construction projects, recompiling IARs based on full physical verification, land surveying to identify and categorise all land owned by CTMM, compiling a socio-economic study and infrastructure asset management plans and compiling a comprehensive municipal infrastructure plan (CMIP). The project also involves a skills transfer programme. Responsible for:

• The verification and linking of stormwater components for a new fixed asset register.

• Quality assurance (QA) of field components data, photos, global positioning system

(GPS) and shape files.

• Understanding the Tshwane Stormwater system i.e. Stormwater Collection, Conveyance and Attenuation. Identifying and improving gaps in current database making use of sound engineering principles, standards and methodologies.

• Updating Tshwane Attenuation Dam Database.

• Conducting a desktop study aligned with The South African National Roads Agency Drainage manual for the estimation of Pipe flow rates and dimensions.

• Engaging with Tshwane Roads and Stormwater Department. Understanding Client requirements and presenting all findings, approaches and deliverables for sign-off.

• Tshwane Water and Waste Water Treatment Works Verification, Register Linking and Register Upload

• Conducting Site verification of all Wastewater and Water Treatment works in Tshwane.

Appointed Engineer: Hendrina Power Station Coal Road Rehabilitation Project Due to the exponential increase in the number of coal trucks accessing the station, there was a need to rehabilitate the access road to improve the efficiency and reliability of the coal delivery process. The project required the compilation of a safety risk assessment, an environmental impact assessment (EIA), technical specifications for tender review and NEC engineering and construction contract. The scope of work consisted of:

• Site Preparation (safe removal and disposal of coal sediments)

• Road Rehabilitation (removal and re-construction of road layers from the subgrade level)

• Drainage Provisions (establishing flow in existing drainage network and provision of sub-soil drainage)

• Establishment of temporary deviation (alternative access to coal stockyard during road works)

Development of Hendrina Power Station Roads Maintenance Strategy The strategy outlined the maintenance interventions that were required and the frequency at which these interventions were to be completed.

• Provided detailed work instructions for maintenance to execute.

• Designed station roads dashboard to keep track of current road conditions and maintenance actions.

Geo-technical Solutions – Civil Geotechnical Engineer, Nov 2016 – Jan 2017 (3 months)

• Establishment of general site conditions.

• Fieldwork (Soil profiling, Testing: DCPs, Percolation, Nuclear gauge compaction)
