Creditors Clerk – 02/01/2014 – 31/11/2019

Responsibilities:

Responsible for processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data.

Duties:

Creditors Management

Weekly payments to the Creditors using Pastel Evolution system.

Processing invoices, verification of documentation (invoices are coded, Purchase order system and Accounts Payables).

Reconciling creditor statements through creditors' ledger in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure all the monthly accruals are accounted for.

Balances all the assigned balance sheet accounts, monthly reconciliations and (records) journals entries that may be need at month end.

Accurately process invoices in the Accounts Payables and post the batches weekly.

Sending the Remittance advices to suppliers after completion of the Payments Run.

Filling of invoices after payment Run.

Ensure that invoices are properly authorized in accordance with levels of authority and allocated it to correct Supplier & Genera] Ledger accounts on a daily basis.

Opening new Vendors for payment including verify their banking details.

Ensuring that Creditors are paid depending on their credit term.

Ensuring that Creditors send the statements before the month end close off, to ensure that all the invoices are paid in time.

PETTY CASH

Ensure that the company has sufficient Petty Cash at all time by making a Petty Cash top up on a weekly basis.

Reconciling Petty Cash on a weekly basis to ensure that it balances at all time.

Bring to the attention of management of any anomalies/fraudulent submissions etc.
