Owner’s representative for construction to replace the clerestory walls. The Clerestory Walls had to be removed and replaced with care as they were holding up 14 stained glass windows made in Rome.
-Met with each contractor to ensure their teams would be respectful of the location of this project and to maintain an atmosphere without verbal distractions.
-Met with the contractors and architects during weekly meetings to address any concerns with drawings, vendors, materials etc.
-Worked with contractors, post construction, holding them accountable to repair areas such as grass, exposed aggregate concrete lid, and other areas to return them to their pre-construction state.
Owner’s rep for the preparation and installation of a 5M pipe organ
-It was my responsibility to ensure all vendors/contractors worked with their scope and followed up on every detail. The space in the organ chambers was tight, there was no wiggle room for error.
-It was important I stayed one step ahead and always knew what was supposed to happen next. That helps keep the guys and project running on time.
-The entire Basilica church had to be deep cleaned and sustain a low particulate count before construction could even begin. I worked with Duct Dynasty to ensure that would happen.
-I stay in communication with our Contractor, Brassfield & Gorrie (Chris Blackwell - Project Manager, Sean Sweeney - Operations Manager and Kevin Wise - Supervisor) and took direction on how I could best support their efforts.
-Continually checked and rechecked the plans to make sure what the plans say and what work was taking place was correct.
-Responsible for ensuring the priceless artwork, including 360 stained glass windows, were protected prior to construction beginning.
