BUSINESS STRATEGY AND PLANNING: -
Continuously evaluate short, medium and long-term strategic financial objectives for the company to ensure that they support the Group's business growth.
In conjunction with the Executive team, design and implement appropriate business plans for the company's business activities in line with the Group's business strategy.
Ensure credibility of the company's financials by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting in line with IFRS and best practice and periodically present to the Regional CFO.
NEGOTIATION WITH CUSTOMERS AND SUPPLIERS: -
Negotiation with suppliers and customers on key contract terms to ensure needs of the
business are met and that working capital and capital expenditure are optimally structured
Build strong relationships with suppliers and customers, more-so with key suppliers and customers, to ensure group objectives can be met
Review customer and supplier contracts for key financial components and overall cohesiveness in conjunction with the management team
CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE: -
In conjunction with the Board and Executive management team, ensure implementation and compliance of the requisite Company policies and processes, legal requirements and Governance Best Practice at all times
Provide guidance and advice on Treasury, Transfer Pricing and Tax optimization relating to the company
In conjunction with the Board and Executive management team, ensure mechanisms are in place to identify and ensure compliance with relevant codes, legislation, etc.
Develop the structure for appropriate controls and effective governance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Play an active role together with the Board and Executive team in managing the strategic direction of the company

Ernst & Young Management Services (Pty) Ltd is the Botswana consulting and compliance arm of the Global Firm, Ernst & Young Botswana. The firm offers accounting, tax compliance and advisory, payroll and consultancy services to a varied clientele. I was head of Finance for Botswana Office in addition to being the Senior Manager in the Accounting Compliance Reporting (ACR) service line. In addition, I was HR and Administration Manager as well.
SUMMARISED RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the financial accounting function provides the Partners & Management with timely and accurate information on the performance of the business for Ernst & Young Botswana, Ernst & Young Pension Fund & Ernst & Young Social Club.
Ensure compliance with legal & statutory requirements that are applicable to the Finance function
Implement & support operations of Global Financial Systems
Train all EY Botswana staff on new financial systems implemented by Global. I have received training from EY Global on the following tools that I am responsible for training EY Botswana staff on:
