PROJECT AND ACHIEVEMENTS

FLIGHT LAB COURSE, IIT KANPUR

Various experiments have been conducted in aircraft to determine different performance

parameters and design. The airplane used are Cessna 206H, Piper Sara-toga and Nal Hansa.

Key learning's:

Aircraft Instruments

Calibration of control surfaces.

Drag Polar Estimation using Cessna-206H.

Flight demonstration of Phugoid effect and Dutch roll effect

SITVC (Secondary Injection Thrust Vector Control), Final year project

The direction of the rocket or aircraft can be changed during working nozzle condition by Injection

of some inert gases in the diverging part of nozzle causing asymmetric distribution of velocity profile

aiding the maneuvering of aircraft. We accomplished this project using Ansys Fluent software under the

guidance of IISc (but due to COVID we continued apart from them with their support) and results

accomplished amazed us.

Calculation of parameters affecting exhaust condition.
