Skills Profile:

Flexible/Adaptable:

Being able to adjust with people of different ages during volunteering at the stadium as well as dealing with some rude visitors in a pleasant manner rather than responding to their rudeness.

Able to balance academic and voluntary work.

Great time-management skills, strategically timing a study-work ethic to make sure excellent results are achieved in the work I begin.

Collaborative skills:

Together with my group mates, we prepared a skit on Pygmalion and performed during school assembly.

Managed to coordinate well with the team members of cricket and throw ball, during interschool matches.

Takes collaborative working as a chance to gain knowledge from people of different fields, different interest, background, age portraying their ideas, share experiences and results in faster and more effective decision making.

Optimistic:

Optimistic about whatever situation I’m put in, led my final year’s A’Level biology group presentation on “Biodegradable” with few of my group mates as others failed to show up, presentation was a success nonetheless.

During the volunteering in Zabeel Park, the incharge we had was short tempered which made the environment rather tensed, and this increased the level of difficulty of the task at hand, yet I persisted, as a can-do attitude of mine has made me do the assigned task positively.

Communication skills:

Conveying speeches and presenting presentations for class assignments or for extra-curricular clubs and activities. As a part of student council (grade 8) I worked with environmental club and convey a speech with presentation on ‘Plastic bags and packaging should be banned.

As a volunteer, working in a group of people who are different in age and background has polished this skill remarkably.

Being bilingual gives an opportunity to communicate with not only English speakers but Urdu speakers.

Computer skills:

Excellent Microsoft office abilities (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point, MS Outlook).

Proficient in many social media sites for work purposes (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Dubizzle)
