Currently, I am interning with The Borgen Project, producing weekly stories related to global poverty. I am responsible for finding my own pitches, article topics and interview contacts. The Borgen Project aims to find the good news of poverty, such as medical developments, educational breakthroughs and successes in activism. Philadelphia Neighborhoods
Student Reporter
As part of my graduate reporting coursework, I was required to find weekly stories, conduct at least three interviews, attend press conferences and publish in Wordpress. Many of the news stories I found and reported on were center around prison reporting in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. Pennsylvania Prison Society
Journalism, Communications Intern, Official Volunteer Responsible for responding to letters from incarcerated individuals across the state and providing appropriate resources. I help with editing and drafting for the GraterFriends Magazine. I worked independently to create, format and edit the GraterFriends Literary Edition using InDesign.
