• Facilitate implementation District Rural Development Plans of the Eastern Cape - creating, maintaining and disseminate accurate database and maps for Rural Development Plans (RDP’s), where Spatial information and spatial analysis is provided in the completion of IOP( Integrated Operation Plan) or Budget Alignment report with the RDP’s
• Support and Monitor Municipalities to implement SPLUMA (Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act) – Creating and Updating an accurate geo-database of Municipal SPLUMA Compliance and Monitoring Maps.
• Geospatial Support to Departmental Projects and Programmes provided – Research and collect data needed for planning and GIS (land related research). Create and maintain accurate database and maps of the stipulated project. Compile reports to be submitted as planning application to the municipality. Assist in the presentation of the Farm Development Report. Facilitated community meeting to solicit development Page 5
