•Managed and implemented the planning and design of the Verizon Telecom network infrastructure for the state of CA (and WA, OR, ID), in both Outside Plant (direct buried, underground, aerial) and Transport networks.

•Operated and managed budgets of over $30M-$80M to ensure proper allocation of funding based on customer requirements.

•Acted as network liaison for various communities, wireless carriers, and CA Public Utilities Commission.

•Experienced in various operational outside plant processes – sourcing, permitting, federal, state, local environmental requirements, right-of-way, and pole loadings.

•Managed direct reports of 20-55 employees and led cross-functional teams to develop cost saving methods, increase revenue, reduce operational expenditures, and improve the customer experience.

•Delivered numerous high profile network presentations to senior executives and external customers to arrange project budget approvals by demonstrating revenue, customer/community impact, and next-gen service opportunities.

•Directed Network Planning team for first deployment of FiOS in the Palm Springs, CA DMA.

•Responsible for the supporting infrastructure of the FiOS Super Head-End (SHE) in Washington state (power, transport and Central Office requirements)

•Worked with CA Joint Pole companies, permitting agencies, Right of Way/imminent domain projects, and supply vendors as an Operations Center/Support Manager during this time (9 months).

Engineering/Project Management Manager, Verizon Aug 1999-Dec 2005

•Led team of engineering project managers to implement various transport, microwave (RF) and outside plant networks including wireless backhaul and FiOS deployments.

•Utilized project tracking tools, such as MS Project, to report and detail project milestones, key delays and achievements.

•Mitigated project obstacles to ensure on time delivery of customer service within budget allocations.

•Developed and planned initial rollouts of high-speed internet/broadband in CA with a $70M budget.

•Supervised a detailed engineering team to develop microwave (RF), interoffice, and outside plant (Digital Loop Carrier, cross connect, fiber) networks.
