I am a quick learner, with attention to detail and a dedicated worker with good work ethics. I have demonstrated my ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and deliver on deadlines. Although I work well independently, I am a team player and strive to work in a dynamic environment where learning is important and where one develops as a person, to prove oneself as a committed employee. Throughout my time working at Caleon Garden Creations I have gained numerous skills in particular communication skills learning to express myself more clearly both in oral and written communication seeing that I worked with various colleagues that first language is not English. Physical organizational skills such as learning to stocktake and record keeping of the day’s sales and receipts as well as multitasking overseeing the floor as well as executing the inner office responsibilities. Another skill I have obtained was to be empathetic towards employees who needed to air their grievances within the workplace and how to listen and to address the grievance accordingly. Reason for leaving: Part Time employment during university recess and to continue with my studies at the University of the North West.
June – October 2016 International Assemblies of God Church Ebenezer Crèche
During this period, I was the project manager and responsibilities were to co-ordinate and manage the total upgrade and refurbishment of the Ebenezer Crèche which is part of the International Assemblies of God Church. The project was part of our community outreach program from the House Eikenhof Residence. The refurbishment included the installation of ceilings, painting of the crèche facilities, tilling of crèche, installation 4 3
electricity and lights, refurbishing of the bathrooms, establishment of a vegetable garden for self-support, and erecting a fence for the safe guarding of the children. All the material and labour had to be sourced from donators and sponsors. I learned and gained a lot of experience working on the project working against target dates, and the management of volunteers and contractors.
Reason for leaving: Project was completed.
LEADERSHIP
2009 – 2019 During my primary and secondary schooling years I was exposed and was appointed in various leadership positions for example; Head Girl at Gustav Preller Primary School and Deputy Head Girl at Hoërskool Florida. During my tertiary studies at NWU, I was a member of the House Eikenhof Residence Committee and was responsible for the arrangements and management of the RAG Culture, Social Open day, SJGD, RAG, Big Prims, and AKSA Committee. The highlight was in 2019 when I was the Primaria of Eikenhof Ladies Residence. During all these leadership and management positions and exposures I have developed my people skills and learned to communicate with people of all walks of life. These exposures and experiences helped me to better my understanding in the management and guidance of my peers and juniors. PRIMARIA RESPONSIBILITIES
During my term as Primaria my responsibilities included; represents the residence on the NWU Residence Council and the Central Management Committee for Residences, ensure that House committee members keep their responsibilities, Held conversation with every HC member at least once a quarter on the status of her portfolio and the extent to which progress has been made in achieving term goals, Responsible for managing the hostel's PRIM FUND, regular feedback on the status of the PRIM FUND had to be communicated to the Residence mother, responsible for the implementation of the Rules for Residences and the Household Rules, deal with residents' problems, and to manage disciplinary hearings.
