Functional Analysis:
Each application is categorized based on the technology in Functional Assessment Reports (FAR) like (Migrate AS-IS, Lotus Notes, retired – Decommission etc.)
Detailed Analysis Reporting (DAAR):
Further technical analysis of each application categorized as ‘Remediate and migrate’ is done and covers the application current technical specifications, configuration, Database details.
Proposed approach for application upgrade and migration is also defined at this stage.
Remediation Phase:
Applications upgraded and Migrated to the GDC standards like .Net frame work apps will be upgraded to 4.0 and SQL Server to 2008 version.
All SQL Jobs are converted to SSIS Packages and RDL (Report Definition Language) files to SSRS Packages.

Elevated level functional scenarios are executed on the remediation environment to test the upgrades and migration scripts.

Developed QUEST was in Microsoft Visual Basic following Windows standards.
Designed application to integrate with Allegheny Power’s current CIS and Customer Collection System (CCS) legacy systems.
Retrieved customer data from mainframe screens via Mitem View and presented in Visual Basic.
Integrated system using such features as a single login and client data movement.
The initial phase of QUEST will provide a graphical user interface (GUI) to the most commonly accessed CIS and CCS information. For information that is not provided in the Visual Basic presentation, QUEST will provide the user access to the appropriate external systems in a quick and user-friendly way.
