TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE (Egypt)
After graduating I started my training by doing 12 months internship as full time resident House Officer at Tanta University Hospitals divided into 2 month sessions in General Surgery, General Medicine, Gynaecology & Obstetric, Paediatric, Orthopedic and Emergency Medicine. During that year university professors and senior staff supervised my training.
After that I worked for 18 months as full time practitioner in Emergency Medicine at the Ministry of Health Hospitals under supervision of the Hospital consultants. I participated in the 1:5 on-call Rota as first on-call under senior second on-call supervision. During that period I worked in a General Hospital. I gained experience in 4
resuscitation and management of multiple trauma patients as well as the transfer of critically ill patients to and from the hospital.
After that year in the Ministry of Health I started my orthopedic training in July 2011 by working in Kfr Elzayat General Hospital and Elmenshawy General Hospital as a full time resident Senior House Officer in Orthopedic .I had at least 6 teaching sessions with consultants, one tutorial and two unaccompanied sessions per week & responsible for outpatient clinic management, case presentation on a daily basis, and patient monitoring under faculty members' supervision. Skills learnt include medical history taking, physical examination, interpreting lab investigation and attending operations performed by faculty Professors Each of Kfr Elzayat or Elmenshawy general hospital has 300 beds (50 beds for orthopedic department). It covers most of surgical specialties including Neurosurgery. During the Senior House Officer training post I am attending a part time MSc. course for fife years in The Department of Orthopedic of Zagazig University. I was able to pass the first and second part of the examination and finish the thesis that is necessary for the award of a Master Degree in Orthopedic surgery. Also I had applied in Egyptian fellowship of Orthopedic surgery ( 2 years of general surgery then 3 years of orthopedic surgery) & finishing it at January 2018 .
Experience and Knowledge
1- Clinical expertise at the level of specialist and have a significant depth in experience in Orthopedic. 2- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and Health advocates. 3- Experience in training, mentoring, coaching and supporting research. 4- Strong knowledge of evidence based-standards of safe practices in Orthopedic and general medicine. 5- Understanding of medical and government legalization, policies and medico-legal compliance. 6- Broad understanding of concepts/tools used in clinical leadership, management, audits, research, monitoring and evaluation and clinical governance.
7- Specialized training and clinical experience in in the relevant specialized field of Medicine. 8- Experience in resuscitating patients with life threating emergencies and subsequent management of critically ill or injured patients, initiating and participating in an emergency response and supporting team members and relative of very sick patients.
