Work Experience:

H-Factor/ Discovery Wellness Warehouse manager (3, January 2017 – 31, May 2020)

I slashed payroll costs by managing Discovery Wellness warehouse and office space without an assistant for three fruitful years, while ensuring the continuation and enhancements of services.

Also acted as a primary Wellness fleet manager with 15 vehicles on the road every day, making sure our fleet is always clean and well maintained, with up to date vehicle service, up to date licence disks, active petrol cards, full details log books, with no outstanding traffic fines and I administrated a monthly petrol slip reckon with all relevant garages.

I Completed warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, issuing work/purchase orders, event plans, delivery notes and warnings if need be.

I kept the physical condition of the warehouse and office space well maintained, by planning and implementing new design layouts, monthly building inspections, issuing work orders and requisitions for damaged equipment replacement, procured all necessary equipment and miscellaneous within the given budget, also made sure our generators are fully functional ready for load shedding.

I had an effective control on our inventory, from event gear, tools, warehouse & office consumables, with our medical stock clearly labelled by their expiry dates, enforcing the FIFO rule that saved us unnecessary cost to company on expired stock nor the embarrassment of delivering it to clients.

Kept stock control systems up to date, I physically made sure our inventories are accurate and a weekly stock take is administered correctly.

Submitted daily reports and task statuses to upper management, delegating our day to day warehouse operation and arranged weekly operations meetings with all employees.

Administrated time and attendance records of permanent and casual employees, making sure all records are accurate and correct with no unnecessary overtime.

Liaise with Discovery Wellness clients, setting up meetings with them for site inspections two months prior to their Wellness event date, kept an excellent work relationship with clients.

Met up with clients for a site inspection, took pictures of site and measured allocated space, sketch an event plan, submitted and particularised all gattered information to our operations.

Acted as a primary warehouse safety officer, making sure all safety measures are adhered and our operations team has all the necessary PPE equipment on site and around the warehouse.

Acted as a primary IT technician, making sure our computers and printers are only used for work related matters, saving the company unnecessary costs on Ink and paper.

Pail Ink Freelancing operations and logistics (March 2012 – December 2016)

I was a general support to upper management, administrated supplier invoices, event week petrol slips, petty cash and submitted all reckon to the operations manager following every event done.

I also arranged and administered site meetings for upcoming events, met up with clients, Inspected the venue and submitted all gattered information to upper management.

I did all our casual employee booking for upcoming events, warehouse and office work within the advised budget, captured their work records and submitted to payroll every week.

I acted as the primary point of contact to the logistics and operations team, I was also a team leader to the operations team on setting up and striking of events.

I was a Bedouin tent rigger, did platting and deco styling of tables and chairs, also coordinated the event while making sure it runs according to clients wishes as planned.

The Elastic Brand Freelancing operations and logistics (January 2013 - December 2015)

I was a general support to upper management, arranged and administered site meetings, reckoned supplier invoices, casual employee work hours and submitted all gathered information to the operations manager.

I also rigged exhibition stands, illustrated, coordinated and exhibited conferences, building the Elastic Brand name by pitching sales to prospective clients.

Platting and deco styling of tables and bar area is my speciality, also rigged sound and lights.

Gauteng Lions Rugby Union

Team manager (January 2013 - December 2013)

I coached and managed the Gauteng Lions U/16 to an unbeaten year 2013 Rugby festival.

My players were very fit, for I did all the conditioning, tactical and fitness training with them.

All players and parents were well informed of upcoming matches, camps and festival when I was the acting manager, not even a single player missed training and match day the entire festival.

I liaised with the Gauteng Lions head of development and submitted weekly reports to him.

I also handle all our day to day petty cash and all the reckon was submitted accurately and on time.

Ensuring that all my players have fun and enjoy the game of Rugby as it is intended while learning to be responsible well-groomed individuals.

I have much to offer in the way of diversity, experience, resourcefulness and profession. In that, I have worked both in the public and private sector under various departments. I have solo managed Discovery Wellness warehouse and their fleet of twenty-three vehicles that were on the road every day for three consecutive fruitful years and would still be acting if we did not experience this pandemic. I was the warehouse and office manager of eighteen internal employees including myself and over twenty casual employees with me running our day to day operations ensuring the continuation and enhancements of services.
