Pacific Behavioral Health: (May 2018-present) Clinical social work intern providing in-home therapy for clients from rural populations who have limited access to resources. Evaluations consist of CUMHA, AMHA, LOCUS and CASII. Clients range in demographics but all are Medicaid clients. Duties consist of evaluation, treatment planning, individual and family sessions, case management, and discharge planning, as well as Medicaid prior authorization requests.

The Ridge House, Inc: (April 2017-May 2019) Clinical social work intern and LCADC-Intern working with primarily outpatient clients and some residential clients. Client population consists of prisoner re-entry population with significant trauma and substance abuse issues, but also consists of self-referrals from low to no-income backgrounds. Duties include facilitation of individual, family and group therapy, including comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, substance abuse evaluations, SASSI-4 assessments, various mental health inventories as needed and mental health/substance abuse treatment plans and DAP notes. Discharge planning, case management and crisis intervention done as needed. Administrative duties involved planning and implementation of program structural, policy and procedure change within the agency.

Center for Hope of the Sierras: (January 2017-present) Facilitation of systemic processing and co-occurring therapeutic groups for residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care for eating disorders and co-occurring issues.

Acadia Healthcare/Center for Hope of the Sierras: (October 2015-January 2017) Director of Utilization Review; Review medical records of patients who are under treatment for emotional or mental illness (primarily eating disorders) to ensure proper utilization of treatment resources; review patient records for proper case documentation, and medical necessity of treatment in relation to federal, state and county regulations; assess continuing treatment plans; advocate for required patient treatment with medical providers, and perform other duties as required.

West Hills Hospital: (August 2013-October 2015) Intake Specialist; Duties include clinical assessments (IPSA) of walk-in or referred patients in an acute-care mental health hospital and determination of whether or not the patient meets medical necessity criteria for admission; performing admissions and referral duties and working with staff nurse supervisor and physician to safely admit patients to appropriate units. Other responsibilities include clerical, nightly reports, insurance prior-authorizations/utilization review and admissions for hospital direct-admit clients.

No Child Left Behind: (May 2013-May 2014) Grant Administrator/Fundraising and Event Coordinator: Duties include research, writing, and implementation of small and large grant proposals directed at human services initiatives; I planned and implemented events involving fundraising initiatives, including the organization, planning, marketing, solicitation of donations, and coordination of those events.
