I am a young college student with about * years of work experience and most of which involves being in the kitchen, or working in restaurant industry. Over the years my talents have developed and increased as each day I learn more and more to make my cooking more efficient. I want to keep increasing my knowledge about the food industry. I would love to use the knowledge to open a business and give back to my community or the homeless in many ways. I am always determined no matter the situation or the motive behind it, and always try to do my best without giving up every. I am a very self-reliant person and I love to help and give back to others even though I do not benefit from it. Have been studying and procuring a career in the hospitality industry since I was able to work. I’m currently enrolled in my second year of college at Ivy Tech Community College and am going for an associate’s degree in Applied Science of Culinary Arts. I have and can be traded for just about a job under the sun. I am a team player, love working together, and love learning how to do new things that can help me in life.

•At this job I worked grill cook and was responsible for cooking all grilled protiens. Along with cooking orders i also had to prepare the toppings and buns that went with each order.

•At the same time as preparing the right toppings and buns i also would have to cook each protein to the right temperature.

•I was responsible for restocking and doing inventory on the weekends when the stock trucks would come in. Every weekend i would wake up at 6:30 am and be at work before 8 am to do stock.

•Along with cooking i was also responsible for restocking everything I used at the end of the night and most of the times i was the closing employee so i would be the one cleaning and moping everything in the back of the house/kitchen area.

•At Fedex I am a underloader. I unload trucks and put packages and freight onto a converuor belt.

•During the week we run trailers that are same day or priority shipping.

•On the weekends I am a POC (person of communication), I have a waklie talkie that connects my to our control room and when a trailer is empty of being pulled in they notify me.

•When a trailer is being docked I have to wait for control to tell me trailer is in before opened doors.

•Once a trailer is empty I clean it out of any trash then tell control trailer is empty then read of trailer number make sure door is fully closerd and latched.

Food Safety Manager Certicate

I also have my certificate for ManageFirst Purchasing which I obtaine during Hospitality Purchasing and Cost Control. Along with that certificate I also obtained one during Customer Service and it is for the ServSafe Alcohol Test. I do not have my human relations certificate but plan to retake and gain it in the future. Along with my human relations certificate I also need to obtain ManageFirst Hospitality and Restaurant Management Certificate earned in HOSP 280 Co-Op/Internship.
