Field Engineer Provides quality oversight, inspection and review of all construction activities to ensure the project is built as per the plans and specifications. This design-build project consists of flood mitigation at the High L. Carey and Queens Mid-town Tunnel and Governor’s Island Building. Construction includes: new flood gates on either side of the tunnel entrances and new permanent reinforced concrete walls on the east bound and west bound Hugh L Carey Tunnel approaches. The Governor’s Island Vent Building construction includes: a new drainage system, new perimeter precast concrete panels, and permeation grouting of existing soil. Lighting and electrical upgrades will be performed as well as mortar joint reappointing of the existing sea wall.

Construction Manager Mr. Tadros spent nine years working on various prestigious projects with Citiscape, a leading group of companies providing turnkey solutions in exterior theme decoration works for hotels, palaces, villas, commercial buildings, shopping malls, banks, offices, and government holdings. His responsibilities included: review of manpower requirements with the site engineers; coordination of work progress on site; supervision of the construction work force on each activity and he ensured that construction was performed in accordance with approved shop drawings and regulations ; prepared scheme plans according to the project; followed up on the quality of the inspections including all stages of constructions with the consultant and client’s representative; managed and reviewed the worksite material quality as per the prescribed standards; and acted as liaison between builders and contractors to ensure adequate supply of resources.

With his comprehensive knowledge of design standards and codes, Mr. Tadros assisted engineers in designing layout and site research. He followed up and monitored technical specifications of drawings as per the sequence required; performed project planning; production planning and control; scheduling; updating; and progress reporting.
