I have also worked in a Union environment making Cheesecakes for John Donaire in Santa Fe Springs, Ca. where we implemented several Kaizen events, and other Lean projects to improve our Safety, Quality, and Productivity (up-time and labor efficiency).
Molding experience:
Injection (Medical, Automotive, electronics, restaurant ware, etc), Rotational (restaurant ware UPC)
Structural foam (dunnage racks), Inserting molding (freeze resistant racks posts), Compression molding (fast food trays, and restaurant ware), Blow molding (food containers), Vacuum molding (bathtubs and Jacuzzis)
Thermoforming (automotive) etc.
Equipment experience: Toyo, Toshiba, Cincinnati, Van Dorn, Zippa (BM), Engel, Nissei, etc. Color blending/mixing Maguire blending equipment and or liquid feeder.
I have worked with products running at very high tolerances/specs, warping, deflection, durability, stress, fit and function, etc.
WORK EXPERIENCE
01/2020 – present Berry Global Chino, CA.
Currently working as a shift Supervisor for a company who manufactures agricultural products as well as packages film products.
Responsible for maintaining and achieving the department’s and company’s standards for safety, quality, and efficiency, training and development, and housekeeping.
Responsible for documentation such as time records and performance achievements.
Strive for continuous improvement, assigning certain workstations for 5S and or mini kaizen events for more efficiency and organization.
Conduct safety meetings/topics for employee safety awareness, monitor and evaluate employee work stations for proper tools utilization to minimize number of incidents/accidents.
Manage and assign employees to ensure proper utilization and development throughout all workstations.
Currently responsible for 7 cast machines, 2 blown, and 5 stretch machines and their efficiencies/inefficiencies.
Communicate daily with staff in regards to product quality issues or other challenges to overcome, closely monitor that all employees are using their PPE, and following the company safety rules and procedures at all times.
