Academic Project:-
● “Performance analysis of HVDC converter under various Fault conditions”
● Project was based on the performance of HVDC converter during contingency period.
● In this project different AC faults (LLLG, LLG, LL, LG) and pole to ground DC fault was created for 0.02 Sec. Then analyzed the converter performance during the period.
● MATLAB software was used for developing a 2-level VSC controlled HVDC Transmission system in order to understand the converter performance on both rectifier and inverter side.
● This project was done under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sushree Sangita Patnaik.
● “Improvement of voltage stability by installing STATCOM and comparing the performance with an automatic controlled ON LOAD TAP CHANGING (OLTC) transformer.”
● Project based on the comparison of voltage stability between STATCOM and On Load Tap Changing (OLTC) transformer with change in load factor and load.
● In this project we (group of 3 members) have used MI POWER software for developing a static 5-Bus system and compared load bus voltage w.r.t load factor, active power loss w.r.t load factor, reactive power loss w.r.t load factor with both STACTOM and OLTC.
● This project was done under the guidance of Prof. Ram Prasad Panda. Extra-Curricular Activities:-
