As a part of my B.Tech curriculum, I have done a project on “Design and Analysis of HELICAL GEARS”.

Project Description :

Helical gears are circular gears with angled rather than straight teeth. The angled design of the teeth causes them to engage other gears, which increases their level of contact. Due to the angled design of the teeth it resists more stresses. The applications of helical gears are in textile industry, rubber and plastic industry, automobile industry. Technology:

• The model of Helical Gear is developed using CATIA and analysis part is done using ANSYS.

• The Gear’s parametric 3D model was developed using CATIA v5 R12.

• Stress Analysis is done using ANSYS

• Theoretical calculations and Material comparison is done using FEA PERSONAL DETAILS:
