Used SSRS to build more detailed transactional reports.

Back-end analysis and development of reports done in IBExpert (Firebird SQL). Used Delphi commands / formula language for some reports. Worked in Workflow Management Suite for Timberline Accounting Interface software. Used Database Maintenance Utility, and imported clients’ databases to resolve their reporting issues.

Senior Consultant

US Bank / Tanson Corp.

2015 – 2016

Created many ad-hoc reports using Oracle / Toad for the collections department of US Bank. Most of these reports dealt with either dollar amounts collected vs. promised amounts to pay, reports regarding military status of customers who can’t be collected from, and reports about complaints that arrive on a daily basis to the collection department from cardholders. Worked extensively with Oracle data warehouse, some tables having billions of records. Worked with SQL Server, and manually ran SSIS packages when needed. Was responsible to work with sensitive data, such as account numbers and social security numbers.

SQL Database Developer

Charter Communications, Inc. / Spectrum

2013 – 2015

Created reports both in Crystal Reports and in SSRS, using SQL Server 2012 as the backend for both types of reports. Used stand-alone queries as well as stored procedures for my reports. Created multiple parameters in the reports, including required parameters, optional parameters, single select parameters, multi-select parameters, and cascading parameters. Used complex logic such as cursors in some of my reports. Wrote long, complex queries in SQL Server, often with multiple layers of nesting; either via sub-queries or tables variables. Used read/write access to modify records in the database when needed. Made reports based on CA Clarity application to show time charged by individuals to projects and tasks in the organization, made other reports to show the status and health of active projects, and other reports for the purposes of user compliance, such as report of users who forgot to submit their weekly timesheets. Used multiple environments during report development, starting from DEV environment, moving onto UAT (TEST) environment, and finally deploying the report to Production environment after thorough testing. Created master reports with multiple sub-reports. Fixed many reports that were incorrectly coded, usually resolving the issues of duplicate data in the report, or the missing records due to lack of null-checks, incorrect joins, or too many incorrectly set-up parameters.

Made reports to track currently outstanding orders, monthly demand for items, backlogged orders, current production capacity, amount of raw materials on hand (fabric, accessories), most popular items ordered, least popular items ordered, cost of producing each item (in terms of materials and minutes of labor), and profit margin of each item. Wrote and modified stored procedures for the reports. Created functions, formulas, conditions, conditional formatting, groupings, parameters, joins, case statements, subqueries, sub-reports, table variables, common table expressions. Was held accountable for requirements elicitation, design, development (SQL stored procedures, .rpt files, .NET front ends), testing, production deployment, and production support of all my reports. Created front ends in VB.NET and ASP.NET for easy report parameter selection.

Associate Application Developer

AT&T Services, Inc. / Pyramid Consulting

2008 – 2010, 2011 – 2012

Created reports for the defect management team to ensure all defects get resolved during a System test cycle against the SBS Automation and Migration projects. These reports were mostly about defect status, defect resolution rate, and defect management coverage schedule. Used SQL Server 2008 and Crystal Reports 2008, wrote stored procedures, which included joins of multiple tables, multiple parameters, subqueries, table variables, subreports, and groupings. My responsibility as a whole was to show the status and progression of defect resolution through the system test cycle by generating reports and queries to ensure our team stays on target. Also created and modified reports in SQL Server 2005 and Crystal Reports 2008 for Releases 13, 14 and 15 of Lightspeed, Releases 11 and 15 of Dispatch Center of Excellence (DCoE). Gathered requirements for these reports, developed SQL code for those reports, created a professional interface of those reports, and tested the reports to ensure data validation.
