Data Cleaning: Raw data is “cleaned” into usable information. This is done programmatically using a market research language called “Quantum”. The cleaning script is uniquely written for each project. Data is also changed (reformatted) into many different forms to suit a particular data model.

Producing Tables: Once the data has been cleaned and verified, the specification program is written to create a set of tables which reveals the content of the data. The tables (excel or etabs format) are then verified. The data tables are then “weighted” if necessary and delivered to the market executives and/or clients.

Maintenance: After delivery the project is monitored for additional requests from the executives/clients until the project is finally closed.

Programming languages currently using: I am currently using a variety of languages, tools and applications such as:

- M.R Studio (a dot. object oriented language) which is a market research specified language used to conduct surveys (data collection) and produce data tables and charts for analysis. It entails complex routing and filtering using the .dot net platform.

- SPSS a data base language very similar to Oracle.

- Entry ware a scripting language used for programming PDAs for market research surveys, it is a VB based application.

- Quantum a UNIX based language, it is a market research specified language used to conduct surveys (data collection) and produce data tables and charts for analysis.

- Excel Macro writing (VB based)
