I was responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company’s employee safety at work.
Ensure that the company is complying and adheres to OHS guidelines.
Support the development of OHS.
Planning monitoring, reviewing the health and safety strategies, policies, plans and procedures of the organization and update according to the legislation.
Inspecting the workplace and equipment to ensure they meet safety regulation and legislation.
Identify any hazards and risk in the work environment.
Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non – conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
Recording and reporting of hazards, accident, injuries and health issues within the workplace.
Record and investigate incident to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
Assisting with the investigation of accident and unsafe working conditions as well as study possible causes and recommend remedial action.
Assist in the awareness programmers and preparing monthly system reports.
Prepare project specific health and safety documentation and compile safety file.
Assist in training of all staff on emergency plans and induction process on all on sites.
Prepare Risk assessments and conduct toolbox talks.
Bookings of medicals and liaison with SMMES, CLO and counsellors
