Monitored and analyzed the report's performance to the schedule of production. Supported production activities and utilized information derived from material and production control systems. LOCKHEED MARTIN AERONAUTICS COMPANY – Fort Worth, TX Corrective action Manufacturing Engineer in direct support of researching non-conformances and structural integrity of removable and replaceable IR panels on the F35 fighter aircraft. Used CATIA Software to design parts and Microsoft Office to collect and aggregate data. Verify structural fit, form, and function of removable IR panels, reviewing structural longerons in the wing box. Schedule and perform IR demos, verifying IR panels and underlying wing structure are within design requirements for proper fit, gap, and mismatch requirements according to 2MZA documents. Reference structural engineering drawings to validate correct manufacture, fit, and installation of IR panels. Initiate and submit problem reports to engineering for non-conformances found on defective components. Supported engineering design of structural modifications and instrumental in various tooling design supporting repair of the 556 bulkheads on the B-model aircraft. Designed replacement bulkhead tooling and structure for field mod installation. The decreased margin of error significantly with the development of the OVT canopy. Create component part models, assembly models, and drawings for tubing and aircraft hoses using Catia V5. Supported design and modification development on the PT6C-67D engine conversion modification on the Bell 205A-1 helicopter. Complete re-design of the 170-bulkhead supporting the engine and support legs. Completed reverse engineering on several designs and modified air intake systems.
