Responsibilities include the safe execution of shipboard equipment, rigging, hazardous material control to and from specified locations, system isolation and integrity, equipment disassembly, reassembly and operational test.

•Assistant Ship’s Gas Free Engineer 2012-2013. Supervised the training and qualification of 16 Ship’s

Gas Free Technicians. Maintained the Ship’s Gas Free Program according to Naval Instructions. Supervised the process control of over 9000 Hot work requests by civilian contractors and ships force resulting in “zero” violation and work stoppages. Conducted over 200 Gas Free Inspections and Safety Briefs for entry into Tanks and Voids.

Engineering Officer of the Watch 2011-2013. Supervised the “safe” operation of over 60 pieces of

Engineering Department Equipment, Watch stations operating logs, Damage Control & Fire Fighting Systems Qualified as Engineering Officer of the Watch, the highest engineering qualification in the Navy.

•Assistant Leading Supervisor of the Engineering Department Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Shop 2002-2006. Qualified as a Fleet Pump Repair Technician after showing a review board a high level of knowledge in the use of precision measuring devices, utilization of technical drawings, technical repair manuals, time & team management, situational awareness and full compliance with all required safety procedures. Increased overhaul efficiency by using troubleshooting experience to identify the correct material deficiencies resulting in all jobs being completed cheaper, faster, better than outside repair activities or pump manufactures. This ensured all ships were able to meet mission requirements. USS Constellation (CV-64), US Navy San Diego, CA 1994-2000.

Maintenance Man assigned to 2MMR Main Propulsion Space. Operated, conducted overhauls, assisted in the

5year & 10 year material inspection of 2-FOSTER WHEELER 1200psi 900 degree Superheated “D” type Boilers. Conducted preventative maintenance and repairs on all steam turbine driven feed pumps, fuel oil service pumps, feed booster pumps and force draft blowers supporting boiler operations. Conducted preventative maintenance and repairs on over 30 different valve types on the Main Propulsion Main Steam, Auxiliary Steam, Fuel Oil, Lubricating Oil, Pneumatic Control Air and Steam Drain & Blow down Systems.
