Charles Hansen
My greatest strengths lie in my flexibility and
adaptability in any situation, and I aspire to learn new skills alongside the ones I’ve already
developed. I desire to develop myself through new
experiences, both through practical work and
through experiencing new situations. A great deal of my free time is dedicated to this, as I regularly
engage in creating, running, and engaging in
hypothetical scenarios with a limited resource pool to sharpen my problem-solving.
Ultimately, my goal is to improve myself as a writer, editor, researcher, and find fulfillment in helping other people.

daVinci’s
daVinci’s is a place where I took on many roles, from first learning all of the different elements to quickly serve customers with quality product, to organizing my fellow employees and stepping in where managers were otherwise occupied, to delivering the product itself to customers directly. Here, I honed my ability to work under pressure, work as a team with my coworkers, provide organizational and navigational assistance, and engage in serving customers directly.

History of Nebraska Wesleyan University
Dr. James Schaffer asked me to assist him in the compilation of the history of Nebraska Wesleyan University, between 1990 to the present day. My duties involved interviewing different members of the faculty and creating summaries of the information I’ve gathered, exercising my skills in writing and research simultaneously. I was also given the opportunity to write a section on our school’s literary journal, The Flintlock, which had no mention in previous records.

Volunteer Organizer
FoodNet, Inc.
At the tail end of high school, I volunteered at FoodNet at my local church, gaining experience in organizational tasks and working as a member of a group of volunteers. The people I worked with would often rotate out, giving me the chance to interact and work with people from a variety of backgrounds. August 2017 – May 2021
