Ain Shams university Cairo, Egypt 2011-2012 Thesis “Jaundice as a presenting sign of urinary tract infection in neonates”. The research was conducted more than 100 neonates presenting with unexplained jaundice.

Helping with clinical trials involving mainly Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.
Outreach work to recruit new patients for the study, phone calls to patients and enrolling subjects for research according to inclusion / exclusion criteria, taking vitals and history from patients. Stabilizing the pediatric cases in the ER, diagnosing and treating the children in the emergency room and determining if they can be discharged or they need to continue the treatment in the inpatient ward.
Following up the patients in the inpatient ward, following up the management, checking the investigations and ordering any lab work or imaging studies needed. Making sure the treatment plan is working well with the patient. Managing any complications that might come up.
Attending daily rounds with the professors and passing by the inpatients to discuss the management plan and grand rounds once per month to discuss the cases in details.
