Internship June2015 – August 2015 (time management and organisational skills) Kakawa Discount House Limited (KDHL) Financial Institution Worked as a summer intern at Kakawa Discount House Limited (a financial institution) in the Wealth Management Department. During this period, I opened, handled, and recorded customer accounts. This involved having to transfer documents to get authenticated, having to work with other departments and file them at the end this improved my mobility, time management and organisational skills. Also involved in marketing the various investment products to new customers. Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Intern (coaching, mentoring, and inspiration) 2016-2017 PAL intern at the University of the West of England. In this role I coach/mentor clients which are PAL leaders. The students’ portfolio will contain a collection of documents through which the students record, reflect on, critically evaluate, and demonstrate their development as a coach/ mentor over a sustained period. During this period, I advertised the company’s services and its accomplishments all for the purpose recruiting potential clients to invest in the company. I attained knowledge and hands-on experience on how the stock market works and basic knowledge on how to identify market line trends. Also demonstrated secretarial knowledge after identifying and registering potential clients to schedule follow up meetings and relay information between the broker and the client.

As a door-to-door fundraiser at home fund raising I got to market/ pitch to people about the charity we were raising money for and the various charities ranged from Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation to Guide Dogs for the Blind. This involved; Information and negotiation, advertising and recruiting clients / donors for the different charities. Improving customer relations with guided instructions for acquiring more information which earned me a high donor satisfaction rate, was once a substitute team leader stepping up to do the site selection management and briefing of the team members an experience which allowed me to accumulatively raise around £3000 for Cancer Research.

Business Environment September 2017-January 2018 (Request for Proposal writing, Value Proposition, Industrial Market Research, Business Plan, Business model Canvass, Resources Allocation, Cost structure, Revenue stream Mapping Risk Evaluation, Strategy Report) As an engineering student in industry one of the minor courses we had to complete was “Business environment”. The course required demonstration of knowledge on how to respond to the competitive market by introducing an innovative product that delivers on customer needs. This required an understanding of the industry and an assessment of the market, potential opportunity strengths and weaknesses and an awareness of external and internal risks to make a business plan and present a strategy report.
