HOSPITAL RESPONSABILITIES

Job Summary:

Plan, organize, implement and evaluate a hospital wide infection control program in collaboration with the infection control director and committee in order to improve the infection prevention and control practices within the hospital.

Job Functions and Authorities:

- Infection control consultant at MOH- KSA (bed capacity = 800 beds: 100 beds NICU; 29 beds ICU, 16 beds CCU; 200 beds for Maternity….)

- Acting as Infection control director

- Coordinate infection control curriculum for hospital orientation and continual education of employees and medical staff.

- Regular audits of relevant wards or units to ensure that infection control procedures are being carried out in accordance with hospital policy (hand hygiene compliance; bundles compliance ...)

- In-service training of healthcare workers about infection control policy and procedures ( hand hygiene; personal protective equipment; prevention of needle stick injuries; aseptic technique;

- Surveillance of healthcare associated infection especially in critical area (NICU ; ICU; CCU; ...) ;
